Building a Lasting and Inclusive Network in Commercial Real Estate in Quebec City

Investing in lasting relationships starts on the ground.

Despite challenging road conditions, Chia, commercial real estate broker and founder of CHIA Real Estate, made the decision to return to Quebec City to attend the 50-50 Cocktail, co-hosted by the Urban Development Institute of Quebec (IDU) and CREW M, held at the unique Monsieur Jean Hôtel Particulier.

✨ Her goal: to expand and strengthen her business relationships in the Greater Quebec City region and to contribute actively to a more inclusive and equitable real estate ecosystem.

The heartfelt testimony of France-Élaine Duranceau, Minister Responsible for Housing, resonated deeply. She candidly shared her struggle to carve out a space for herself in a male-dominated commercial real estate environment.

Chia relates to this reality. As a first-generation immigrant woman, visible minority, and entrepreneur in commercial brokerage, she often has to work twice as hard to be seen, heard, and respected. And she does so with determination, professionalism—and a smile.

Another highlight of the evening: Jonatan Julien, Minister responsible for Infrastructure and the Capitale-Nationale region, proudly shared that 95% of his office is made up of women. A strong show of trust in female leadership.

Kudos to the women paving the way.
Thanks to the male allies supporting equity.
Chia continues her mission to connect talents and elevate underrepresented voices.
