Chia: Hello, everyone! I’m Chia-Yi Tung, your host for "Real Talk with CHIA." Today, I’m excited to welcome Bruno Morin from Figurr Architects. Thank you, Bruno, for accepting my invitation.
Bruno: Thank you for inviting me.
Chia: First of all, could you share with the audience how we met?
Bruno: Sure! We’ve known each other since early 2019, just before the pandemic, through a business group focused on real estate and construction. We’ve been meeting once a month since then.
Chia: Yes, that’s right, and what I really appreciate about you is your curiosity and attentive listening at every meeting. You’re always ready to offer solutions and help others. Is this part of your personality or also a reflection of the culture at Figurr?
Bruno: It’s both. At Figurr, our company culture is all about listening. To design well, we first need to know and understand our clients. Our multicultural team also enhances our openness and curiosity.

Chia: You’ve also worked extensively with First Nations communities. How has that shaped your approach to architecture?
Bruno: Working with Indigenous communities has taught us the importance of listening and learning from others. This deeply influences the way we approach projects, with greater openness and respect.

The conversation continues, covering topics such as evolving architectural trends, mixed-use “live-work-play” projects, and the importance of designing spaces that enhance quality of life. Bruno emphasizes the need for sustainable and collaborative solutions, focusing on user-centered designs in all his projects.

This episode perfectly illustrates the importance of collaboration, open-mindedness, and innovation in architecture—values that Bruno Morin and Figurr apply in their work.
